As HOPE, Bafana is charged with identifying and evaluating small businesses opportunities that Proteger hopes to invest in. By means of buying and managing them to the point where they are equitable and profitable and then sell back to the original funders.

Needless to say; the brains of the operation. Having initially studied Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg Mr Buthelezi went into the Insurance and Investment industry. His clients were Liberty(whom he initially worked for, for a year), Stanlib and Standard Bank. Bafana represents them on a consultant basis. During which in this time he did all the industry relevant qualifications and went on to study a BSc in Actuarial Sciences at The North West University. Bafana is currently busy with a BCom in IA (International Accounting) and aims to enroll for an MBA with Stanford in 2022.

There is so much that could be said of “Our Boss”, but one thing that is notable to say of him is that he is a knowledge thirsty individual, who has been a registered student at Universities across the country for 9 of the 10 years since he left high school. Something he is famous for always saying “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear” -He has never stops being the student.
